We have a 95 lesabre that we just bought and the lower tranny cooler line is leaking at one of the joints right in front of the motor. Does anyone know about how much this is going to cost to get fixed? Its not leaving any puddles on the ground, but its covering the plastic drip pan under the radiator. any info would be great thanks!

I'm replacing the lines on my 93. Two new lines will cost about 70-80 dollars. If you have it done somewhere, expect to pay that much or more again for labor. If you're a DIYer you can save that. It's not a bad job to do. There are two connections at the transmission and two at the radiator.

If you decide to DIY, remove your old lines, and bring your old lines to the dealer parts department to help insure you get the correct parts.

I read the posts above and seen that they are recent. I know that there was a recall on the trans. cooling lines on some LeSabre's. I don't remember off hand the exact years, but, I do know that 93' was included. The dealer should replace the lines free of charge it has been recalled. I will try to look up the exact information on the recall and post it. Just wanted to get something up quick to maybe save you some money. you could call a Buick dealer and check also.

I will try to look up the exact information on the recall and post it. Thank you, and at the same time, would you also post your source, for I'd be interested in my wife's '97

When I was ordering my cooler lines from the Buick parts department, they did not mention any recall but of course I did not ask that exact question. They did not volunteer that info if it is in fact true. So I'm also interested in any recall notice and its details and any limitations.
