that skyline look great! i can't seem to find the right size LED and voltage combination to make it work on these kits. is that a variable voltage power generator i see powering them? :flash:

are those white or blue LEDs in the headlights? i have access to lots of LEDs and other electronic components at work so i've been thinking about doing lights.
they look cool in your pics so now i'm more interested in doing it. :smoker2:

i'm gonna try to answer your questions:

What you use for lights?

the front lights in the R32 are made by two "cool white (http://www.datasheets.led.net/Pages/led_color_chart/38.htm)" high-beam (don't know the correct word) LEDs and the tail lights are made by 4 red LEDs

the greatest thing about using LEDs is that they don't heat up like incandescent lamps ;)

Well, like Forhod said, i'm just playing with LEDs. In the "Neon" on the Countach is composed by two red high-beam LEDs and a straw (like the ones in small chocolate packages) and i was just testing the layout.

Yeap, this is one of my insane projects (http://automodelismo.do.sapo.pt/turismo/lav_r32cab.htm) :bloated: ..... i still have another idea about the R32......... scratchbuild a R32 station wagon :sun: :sun:

Well, this "cool white" LEDs are ideal replicas of Xenon lights. and can't be applied in every car. other cars that i think would look great with these lights are S2K, R33, R34, beemers, etc....
About the voltage power, its one of my high-school electronics project. I'm still a student of electronics, so if you need any help with the calculations of voltages and currents and stuff, just let me know ;) (p.s. the front LEDs are 5mm and in the back are 2mm)

well has i said before the "neon" is made with LEDs and they don't heat up

show us your light setup....

I'm still working in the light settings, so when i complete it i'll post all the material involved, calculations and schematics, ok???? :smoker2:

On the "neon" lights, there is a good subsititue. I do not know if you are using them or not, but there are some that run much much cooler then true neon lights. Cold Cathode lights which many people use in their computer cases. Although they are a bit more in cost, they are cool to the touch.
Lights (http://www.coolerguys.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=001&Category_Code=CS-LIGHT)
I do not know if this helps any for people interesting in such things. I have two in my case and can easily pick them up while being on for hours. You can not even tell they are on... I think that is probably the light form that you are using, but would have to see the bulb to make sure.
Looks great man, very cool!
