Hi,
i just bought a new nissan sentra
and i wanted to add some stuff

i think it is the 1.8S and 126 Horsepower

What should i add in the car to get more horsepower

i dont want to add muffler
because it will just make alot of noise

i want to add something that will not affect the MPG
and only increase the horsepower

please help me out

Thank You

lol, be easy... Well the 1.8 is no Spec V as far as the sentra goes, but there are a couple things you can do to make it a little more quick. Just check into your basics. I would first go with a cold air intake which will incrase your horse power, your mpg, and give you a little added sound to your car without it being Noisy. The intake is a great starter mod for any car. After that just go through your basic mods with maybe a header and a pulley. I don't know if you will get any kind of great effect from upgrading your plugs and wires, but you can try. Is it a manual or automatic?

With an Intake, a header, and a pulley, you might be able to get a 15-20 hp gain from that, which is a very noticable difference.

Good Luck

Ouch....
I would recomend a sound system upgrade, lol. Maybe a window tint...? That could make your car nice atleast. You could still get the CIA for just a little pop and it would make for good MPG. If what Nismo is saying is true, it is kind of pointless to upgrade. Sorry bro, but if you want results, you're going to have to get a new car. Look into the older sentras, if you don't have the money to buy a spec v. I think you can get an 03 Spec V for about 8K. Even if It had 70-100k miles on it, it would still be worth it.

Hey, a guy with a 1.8 has a wing on it in my neighborhood. I haven't talked to him, but I'd be willing to bet it adds atleast 30hp at the wheels and that is a damn good gain. His rice pipe, however, only adds 10whp, but it helps him get chicks I'm sure.

Yeah, dude, we know what car you're talking about. The point is, the 1.8 motor is un-moddable. Don't bother. Either make it look nice and settle, or get an older sentra. If you like the style of sentra you have now, try looking for a 2000-2001 Sentra SE 2.0. It looks just like your car, it's a lot cheaper, and it's a whole lot faster and easier to get some power out of.

agreed. most people dont research what car would best fit their plans before they buy. this sounds like another case of that.
