3rd gen - tranny problems

I have a 3rd gen auto Limited, and sometimes when I accelerate from a complete of near stop, no power gets to the rear wheels, and the engine only revs up. Then, all of a sudden, power gets to the wheels and it jerks and takes off. I've had several auto trannies go out on me, and it's not like it's slipping. I either have 100% power to the wheels or 0%. It does it most often in OD, but also has done it in D and 2. I am gonna get it in to a tranny shop, but it is gonna be a while before I can afford it. Any ideas?

When is the last time you changed your tranny fluid? I would try that first if it's not fresh.

Everything should be pretty fresh on it, had a full service right before I bought it 6mo/6k ago. Trans was serviced too.
