Hello!

That's my newest project. It's Fujimi 1:24 BMW E30. It's car for drift ;). I know, the panel-lines are bad, and paint in one place on the hood are wrong.

Changes:

- cherry colour
- matt black rimms
- handmade exhaust
- wash
- "black Hella" tail, and headlighs
- "clean" body
- painted interior
- maximum lowered

Feedback please! :)

Drift was too long... And E30 was overtaken and get out of the track. ;)

Now real version:
I wanted to try wash ;) I made the wash first time in my life, and now I know how I should to that.

Sorry but to me looks good only the idea: I hope you'll appreciate some posivive criticism in order to help you:

- met. red seem ok but clearcoat (if is coated) have an apreciable OP: there's plenty of how to and topics here around on how achieve a mirror-shine finishing,

- window's trims aren't clean: I don't know you you done with brush, my idea is that you masked they and sprayed trough a can: you'll improove them just improoving your masking tech. and using right materials, tamiya masking tape would be a start.

- panel lines are honestly not well done: best way to me is to use some thinned not compatible colors (ex. acrylics over enamels) so the thinner wouldn't react with the body color. If you didn't used the same color to do panel lines you'll clean easily also now.

On the other hand lowering job seem done very well, accurate and realistic track with and high, and great color scheme with black rims: only strange that you can't see silver disks trough, may be cool with same red calipers.

Of course I'll. :)

Thanks for help. I think, next time I'll make better car. :)

Oh, and about masking. I'm using the Tamiya tape. I don't know why, but I always have the same problem. I'm masking really carefully, but the tape misses... I don't know why...

And about clear coat. It don't have OP. I'm using "Motip" sprays, and I don't know why, but they drown the plastic of some models. Most of them before paint are OK, but some of them are drown... And that "drown" you can see on the model. :(

And the discs - this model-kit hasn't got the discs in the kit. And I don't have any to place them in the BMW...

Sorry for bad english! I hope you'll understand what I mean.

I like the theme and idea of what you were trying to build. Work on your skills a little and the results will show.

I'm not going to put down on your work (BUT) no the Wash under the car ?Dirt? if your going to use that medium on the sides near the wheel some Rubber burn or sutt on car body will some. As for the trim try not doing it by hand mask it and use your air brush if you have one. you can allso use black trim made by Bare Metal Foil this works grate. www.bare-metal.com

Kool build, yes there's room for improvement but that's already been covered so I'm not going to dwell on it. I like the exterior scheme, looks good with the tinted tails and the black out rims.

I had to check this build out because I'm going to build a Fujimi E30 like my 1:1, it looks like I have a lot to do, I need to scratch some different bumpers, mirrors, seats, engine and engine bay, chassis parts etc. Then when I get the 1:1 fixed up, I'll build it in model form as well. Does this kit some with decals for the front and rear roundels (the BMW logo)?

Oh, and about masking. I'm using the Tamiya tape. I don't know why, but I always have the same problem. I'm masking really carefully, but the tape misses... I don't know why...

If you do trims by spray can, well I can't say much more than be careful, do the best possible job with masking tape, try to spray from a bit far to decrease pressure that is normally very high on cans. If you're still using a airbrush decrease the pressure, try to spray from back (so from the side where you placed the tape, not against the tape edges) and play with the color thickness: and mostly use a not compatible clor so you'll clean flaws without damaging lower paintjob.

And about clear coat. It don't have OP. I'm using "Motip" sprays, and I don't know why, but they drown the plastic of some models. Most of them before paint are OK, but some of them are drown... And that "drown" you can see on the model. :(

I'll be wrong but seem to me that you're using an hot color directly on plastic: I don't know if you done it but there's several products to hel you to avoid this problem: sealers, primers and obvuously more "gentle" colours :D BTW a good primer (well polished) help you to achieve also a better shine at least ;)

And the discs - this model-kit hasn't got the discs in the kit. And I don't have any to place them in the BMW...

Sorry for bad english! I hope you'll understand what I mean. Come'on your can't be worst than mine :D

It's really hard to mask this one properly, since the engraving of the window trimming just sucks. I don't have any other words for it. And since its engraving lacks depth, it's easy to make masking mistakes.

In this kit are decals (plates, BMW logos etc.).
