Just purchased an aftermarket window regulator and motor assembly for my 2000 2dr. Do I need to find a big enough rivet gun to install or can I use bolts and nuts. Besides taping the window in the up position are ther any tricks?
thanks

Bolts and nuts are fine thats what I used. Taping the windows up did not work that well so I stuck a stick in the door and it worked perfectly

Just finished. It was hard to get all three guides lined up at the same time . It took a little moving the window up and down with a helper.
The main reason for the post, however, is to confess what a bone head I am. Once I hooked up the new motor it did not work. after fooling around for a while I found that the exisitng connectoron the switch side was not tight. This means that the old motor was OK. I checked for power at the motor before ordering the new part, but I guess the probe made better contact than the motor end of the connector.
Live and learn. nevertheless, I guess I still saved some over taking to the shop and I have new regulator and motor and a spare.
