I own a 1992 3000GT SL, and i was looking to buy a pre-assembled engine with atleast 300 horsepower so i can build off that. Does anyone know where i could go about ordering one?

Are you looking for N/A or are you going with forced induction?

also< what are your plans for your car?

Nobody makes "hi-performance" engines!
there are compaines like SLP or Crate that have modded small block chevy and ford engines but theres no such thing for a 3000GT.
Only option you have is to buy a stock turboed 6G72 engine and build up from there.

Dont bother with the N/A, if you want power start off with power.

for now im just going to put in a new air intake system, new fuel system, racing suspension clutch and tranny, ecu, bigger brakes, low pro. racing tires, new exhaust system, high performance cam, and eventually an aftermarket turbo.. once i get some decent speed built up ill start looking at visual upgrades.

i hope you have a LOT of money, b/c the aftermarket for these cars is NOT cheap.

:1: But at least most products for our cars are starting to come down a little in price.

There's quite a bit on this list that you do not need on an N/A 3000GT.

1. Brakes- all show, unless you're doing autocross
2. Low profile "racing" tires- Drag radials are not necessary when you're only putting down 200bhp.
3. The only good aftermarket suspension I've heard of is K-Sport and Tein, and both are extremely expensive(think $2,000-ish).
4. Fuel System- You don't need bigger injectors. Bore out the block, and then you might need bigger injectors.
5. Aftermarket turbo- If you're going to go turbo, do it from the start. You'll kick yourself once you find out how much money you waste to get your N/A running fast and then going turbo.
6. Last, but certainly not least, is the simple fact that all the CAI kits for our cars don't do squat. They're pretty much worthless.

seriously though, from my standpoint, if you want to do all of that, its more cost effective to just buy a TT to begin with.
