93 LeBaron Convertible Questions

My GF bought a 93 LB Convertible as a second car and since I am new to these cars, I have a couple of questions.
1. What's the deal with the dual tailpipe tips. It seems the inside tip is a dummy tip. Nothing comes out of it and it looks clean compared to the outside tip.

2. Where is the fuel filter located?

Q1. When these came from the factory the both of the exhaust tips were functional. The aftermarket replacement tips have the goofy two tip/one works configuration.

Q2. The fuel filter - jack up the car, go under from the passenger side just in front of the wheel, you will see it. To replace this you will need a screwdriver a 10 mm wrench or socket, and a pair of pliers. Remove the mounting bolt first, then unscrew the hose clamp for the supply side, then push the plastic clip thingy in towards the filter - while you are pushing the plastic thing in, pull the fitting and it should come off. (Before you do this make sure you depressurize the fuel system, i.e. pull the fuel pump fuse and start the car, when it dies the fuel system is depressurized). When you are replacing the filter, if you need to replace the hose clamps make sure you use only a replacement that is intended for a fuel injection fuel line (more expensive, but much stronger).

Welcome to Lebaron convertible ownership - they really are pretty cool cars.

She does not have the owner's manual so do you know what fuse it is?

IIRC pop the hood, just behind the battery there is a fuse box, open it and one of the small fuses is marked "fuel pump".

You say your GF doesn't have a repair manual, that's ok go here:
