Radiator replacement 98 Neon

I have a 98 SOHC Neon with 232,000 miles. My radiator needs to be replaced. Is this something I can do myself ? (I'm quite handy.) Does anybody know of any links that I can check about how to do it ? Thanks !

Yes you can do this, but, go and buy a Haynes manual for your car, it will make the job so much easier as well as having pictures and text to help you with this job..

(1) Disconnect negative battery cable from battery.
(2) Drain cooling system.
(3) Remove hose clamps and hoses from the radiator.
(4) Disconnect automatic transmission hoses and plug off, if equipped.
(5) Remove radiator to battery strut. Remove fan module assembly by disconnecting fan motor electrical connector. Remove fan shroud retaining
screws, located on the top of the shroud. Lift shroud up and out of bottom shroud attachment clips separating shroud from radiator. For dual fan
applications the left fan module may be removed first, then the right side module last. Fan damage should always be avoided.
(6) Remove upper radiator isolator bracket mounting screws. Disconnect the engine block heater wire if equipped.
(7) Remove the air conditioning condenser attaching screws located at the front of the radiator, if equipped. Lean condenser forward, it is not necessary to discharge the air conditioning system to remove radiator.
(8) Radiator can now be lifted free from engine compartment. Care should be taken not to damage radiator cooling fins or water tubes during removal.
