Hi all,
My fiancée has a Grand AM GT with a 2.4L Twin Cam and it wants to start but won't. He and a friend had it going for a little bit, and grabbed a code reader(engine light was on) and it gave us the code for Cylinder 4 not firing. We are kind of stuck on what to do, and we need a car right now. Just wondering if any of you guys have an idea on what needs to be done. Thanks!

check all the plug wires, check the battery cables for corrosion and check the connection at the starter. Also check the battery voltage, it should be 12.5-13 volts. Next check for fuel and spark while cranking the engine, then post up with what you got

Welcome to AF MacSen.
Sounds like the #4 plug isnt firing, so look toward one of the coils being bad. Probly the coil pack that feeds #4 and #3 i think.
Hope that helps !
