I'm bored at school and decided to check out AF. Not active now, but a lot of threads to whore now!!! :D

Dude, A/F is the best thing to do during compter graphics...god I love highschool:)

I search AF at school on A days when I have computer class. But now I get Early Release from school at 12:20 every day so I have plenty of time to look around here on AF :D

No offence to anyone who lives there but very bad things happened the last time I was in LA - which was in May 1992. Perhaps you can get jay@af to explain (if he remembers) what happened because it is a searing white hot memory for me and that's over 10 years later.

The last time I was in LA the ruling on the officers involved in the Rodney King Incident was released relating to charges relating to a rather brutal arrest that was caught on video.

At the Parker Centre, what started as a fairly innocuous protest got out of hand on live television that resulted in 48 hours of rioting, arson, civil disorder, brutal beatings, looting and anarchy which rivalled the Watts Riots decades before in severity.

As a rather young, and a little naive individual travelling alone through the US in a rental car, I managed to time my arrival in LA from San Diego at almost the exact moment of the ruling.

It was a fearful time - and man's inhumanity to man was demonstrated many times to me over the next few days. It's an experience that opened my eyes to many things in that short space of time and it taught me skills, principles and approaches that have served me well later in life.
