I have '91 with a 1.9 in it. 283k miles and getting around 35 mpg.
I have changed the air, fuel filters, and the plugs and wires. Anything else to change that might help my mileage? Any good after market items out there I should know about?

Did you check the tire air pressure? Don't carry extra cargo.

ditto on the tire pressure, you could double check the timing too. other than that only a "No Fat Chicks" bumper sticker would get it better

Wow, 283k miles and you're still pulling 35 mpg? Is that in colder weather? That is all mine will do in the cold too, when it's warmer out I will hit 39 mpg average.

I am in Ohio, so it's not warm weather. Fuel mileage has dropped a little bit recently. I am not driving on the freeway anymore and now I am driving the winding curving roads of southeastern Ohio.

A new O2 sensor may help if you haven't changed it recently. The sensor will allow the computer to read the O2 content in the exhaust stream and may give you additional mileage.
