Putting desktop icons on other user's accounts

Is it possible to install desktop icons on another user's account on the same computer from your account? And if so , what is the easiest/best way to do so.
I recently installed some programs ( Cisco Systems VPN Client, Lotus Notes and QWS) to allow my wife to be able to access her work's computer to do work at home. I had a lot of trouble installing the software the company gave her, but was finally able to get it all installed and operating properly. The problem is that with all the problems and stress I had trying to get them installed and working, I inadvertently installed it on my user account. My original intentions were to install it on my wife's account. I was hoping I could just put some desktop icons on her account so that she might be able to access the programs from her account.
If it is possible then could I also do the same to my kid's computer? I am the administrator on their computer and have installed some programs for them, but the only problem is in order for them to play or use them, they have to be signed into my account, something I'm not to keen on since my son has been known to change settings and do other things he shouldn't. If I could put a set of icons on each of their accounts, it would make life oh so much easier and they can each access the programs by themselves without having to use my account.

Just open the documents and settings folder. find the user you want to copy to and open that folder. Then copy them to the desktop folder.

Or you can copy it to Documents And Settings\All Users\Desktop.
You might need to run a repair on the installation if you chose to install just for your user account instead of all users. Use the Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel and select modify.
