Hello everyone,
The shifter 4X4 on my truck feels ok, however, the font wheels do not engage when I choose the 4wd mode. A garage checked it and found 2 wires that were cut off. They connect them somehow, ground them, that did work, but could not find the switch where it belong. looks like the "order" is not passing from the shifter to the tran in front. Anyone has this problem, any idea what or where to look for ? (lok like there is an electric "plug" on top of the tran). thanks in advance.
Pascal.

First, determine what transmission and transfer case you have.
Then look in the 1993 Truck manual stickied at the top of this forum for the part of the manual discussing the transmission and transfer case you have.
Find the switch or plug you see at the top of the transmission and you will find its name and its function.
