01 accord brake & trans

My 01 accord brake light on the dash came on and would go off when I mashed the brake and come back on when i let off ,after afew times the light stayed off ?? any help On the trans. cyl-auto , when going down the in high gear it would feel like the trans would slip... checked the fluid and it was ok ......thanks

As far as the brake light, it just sounds like the fluid lvel is at the threshold of tripping the light...the behavior you described is pretty typical of that, did you check it?

Watch your tach when you feel like the tranny is slipping, do you mean when cruising it feels like it's slipping, or when you try to pick up speed?

You could have something like a torque convertor lock jumping out of lock when it should be engaged if the rpm change is the same each time it happens.

The brake fluid looked good .. and the trans. my wife said it does it in high gear and when she is accerating , I asked her to keep a eye on the tach.. it has only done it twice with me.. let you know ...Sherman

I have seen some threads about a dirty/stuck brake fluid sensor. Open you master cyllinder and check it out.
