4Runner Hood Protector Install Tips?

Hi Crew,

My girl got me the Toyota OEM Hood Protector for Xmas, and im hesitant to install it, only because i dont want to screw it up. I see those silicone pads and taking apart the grille is in order,....as i said, just a little hesitant.

Anyone wanna throw me some tips?

what is so hard about it ?

there is a template you can use to stick the silicon tops on your hood.

as far as taken down the grill it beats me, what year is your 4 runner ?

I installed my 2001's with no problem.

His profile says he has a 2003 4Runner

Thanks for the info, but i ended up just having the dealer install it on my most recent serivice. They were cool and didnt charge me for it, seeing as how i was a regular customer and have them do all my scheduled work.

HOWEVER,....my windshield was destroyed last week after ice from a car in front of me flew off and hit me 100% in the center of the glass on a 5 degree day w/ windchill. Yippie.
