00' LS Engine Swap

Just bought a 00' LS Sport with a V-8 I bought it with a blown engine, sounds like it threw a rod. It has 94k on it. Found a 2001 New engine in the crate with all acesories on e-bay for $1700.00. I figure it will probably fit fine, but what about wiring, computer compatibilty, etc. Any issues??? After reading a lot about bad valve gaskets, I will probably go ahead and put some new ones in before I install the engine too.

All help greatly appreciated. Wanted an LS since I first test drove one when they came out!!
