Brights are stuck, help would be seriously appreciated.

Hey guys, I just now signed up for this specific purpose. I have a 2004 Focus, and last night while I was turning I accidentally switched on my brights, and now they won't turn off. When I turn off my headlights, they all turn off, but as soon as I turn them on, the brights are back! The blue indicator is lit up, so I think it's just a switch. Can anyone shed some light (No pun intended) on this, and maybe help me understand how to fix it? I'm a tad low on money right now so I'd rather not go to a repair shop.

I'm in exactly the same boat, mate. It happened as I was driving from Atlanta to Nashville, at night, so I spent 3 hours being 'revenge dazzled' by irate members of the public. I would also genuinely appreciate any advice. For the record, mine's a 2003 Focus SE.

Most likely you need the "stalk swtich" on the column. It's expensive unless you can find one in the boneyard. I had a similar problem with my Escort. Had only the high beams. Both low beam filaments burned out at the same time. It happens.
