crankwalk...

your just like alot of others on here, you think 2g means crankwalk all the time. Not everyones will do it. MY car had 131,000 miles when i decided to take it apart and build a beast and i measured for crankwalk and there was no sign of it ;)

So you got to stop trying to scare people out of 2g's IM not trying to be a dick just stateing some facts.

Also 3 of my friends rides have not done it and they have checked for it ;) 2 have heavy clutches for about 2 years now and were just checked before put up for the winter ;)

I've worked on a local photographers car quite a few times and he's got 180k-185k with no sign of crankwalk yet, and he's not exactly easy on it either. Crankwalk is way to overrated IMO, if it happens, it happens, but don't try and scare people away from buying a nice, affordable sports car because of something that happens to a very minimal amount of dsms.

Geez its an all out war in here...

Only about 33.3% of 2g's actually crankwalk... I was lucky enough to be in that percentile.

^^Why are you guys celebrating?? I mean your car is now useless...unless your insurance would cover it then I would celebrate too. I just made $200 b/c some girl side swipped my car and it's going to cost $750 to fix, but her insurance company has given me $950.

Yeah what is your budget, Id consider getting one of these if you can find them http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1994-Audi-S4-Turbo-5-Spd-Very-Good-Condition-LOADED_W0QQitemZ250071034624QQihZ015QQcategoryZ439 02QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

they come witha 2.2 inline 5 turbo out the factory, even a external wastegate stock, and awd, their awd system is strong too and they can be made hella fast and youd still be luxurious to an extent.

Or an early model 3000gt vr4, but that would be a pita to work on really.

and older (1990-1996) 300zx, I doubt it would be hard to work on since everything is almost symmetrical in the engine bay.

An old 944 turbo would be a great thing to work on http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1986-951-944-Turbo-Runs-good-Clean-title-NR_W0QQitemZ250071352889QQihZ015QQcategoryZ6434QQs sPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

as well as a mitsubishi starion/chrystler conquest

rwd, 2.6litre 4 banger, 16g turbo out the factory, hell, all you need is turbo up the boost and tune it.

If I had to do it over again I would get a 90-92(6 bolt) dsm for cheap and build a freakin power monster out of it. If your budget is a little tight then sadly but surely I would suggest getting a honda hatch gutting it to crap, swapping in a nice motor and throwing a turbo on it. You would be suprised at how cheap it is to build a decent honda nowadays.

BTW I would never buy an Audi to build. Maybe for a DD but, never to mod.

No... VVV Thats why...

It gave me a good excuse to build the monster I am now almost done building and drop it in my 2g. :)

33.3% is far too high of a percentage. Plus those chances are greatly increased by higher poundage clutches. 2gb's are hella sexy but damn, I am way too cheap to shell out for a 6 bolt swap and all that. 1ga FTMFW :p.

Thats why you just buy a 2g shell that has walked and drop a spare 6 bolt in it. :p
