So Iv currently got a shity car, trust me, its bad, and Iv been looking around, adn came acrost a 1994 BMW 3 series 325I, it has about 121,000 miles on it, auto, and fully loaded. the price is whats kinda throwing me off. I always thought BWM were expencive cars, adn this car is under $7K. Is it a good deal you think? No rust on it anywhere, inside and out is beautiful, I havnt gotten to drive it to see about the engin but the owner says its all rock solid, and never had a problim with it (he was a BMW mecanic)
So what do you think? the price is whats throwing me off, but other then that, it seems like a dandy deal.. I guess it could be lower cuz its a '94?

You could run a check on www.kbb.com (kelly blue book) to find its actual suggested value. BMWs usually are on the expensive side, but I wouldn't at all be suprised to see a 13 year old 325i with 100k + miles costing under $10,000. If its coming from a mechanic, odds are it has been well maintained. Good luck.

Make sure it has a clean title, other than that if it is coming from a BMW Mechanic, I would say it should be in good shape presuming he kept it up.

I'm thinking 7K is a bit high for that car. We are talking about an old car with a load of miles on it. I picked up a 93 from a mechanic that specializes in BMW's last year for half as much. It was not in the best of shape. 145K 5 spd 325is. It runs great, the interia needed help. The suspention seemed OK based on what I had been driving (trucks). No clunking, or banging, and it handled nice. New clutch, brakes, belt idle pullies. The door panels were falling apart, and the seats did not look too good. The paint was good except some clear coat on the roof. He could not produce any history, and said it was his friends car. But we were talking about a $3400 car. It's much cleaner now. The cost is up to almost $4,500. Rear shocks, shock mounts, reinforcements, RTB, Sub frame reinforcements, & repair. Leather refinish. 17" Wheel/tires (used). I have a new front end in a box wating for me to install it ($250). Don't forget, a mechnic never works on his cars! He spends all his time working on other peoples cars! A painters house needs painting, and a mechanic's car is always broken (he just knows what's wrong with it).
