Removal of 1991 Voyager Forward Console?

Hi everyone,

I've searched this forum but haven't found anything relating to removing the forward console in my 1991 Voyager. I need to remove either the storage bin or if necessary (and it may be, due to the size of the radio) remove the ashtray/cup holder.

I have the Chilton (1984-1991) book, but that proves pretty useless in this case.

As you can see below, I have removed the plastic bezel, but I really don't know where to go from there. So my questions are:

How do I remove the ashtray?
Do I need to remove the entire console to do it?
If so, how do I remove the console?
Thanks in advance!

Probably not much more than what you have but, Give it a shot.http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/10/cb/d0/0900823d8010cbd0.jsp

Might be more info under some headings in the right column like "entertainment system" or "upper/lower instrument panel". Click on the diagrams to blow them up.

Hi,

Why do you need to remove the lower console? You should be able to remove the radio from there?

How did you remove the radio bezel? I need to replace the radio.
