87 Gas tank sending unit ??????

Can anyone please tell me how to take the sending unit out of the gas tank on an 87 with the carbarated 2.2? I can't figure out how the plastic retainer comes apart. My Hanes manual dosen't cover it either. Tank is out.......
Also... I also can't seem to find the Oil sending unit for the idiot light. I have a severe oil leak and am hoping that is the cause. Not covered in the book either.........

From the picture the oil temp.sending unit is back close to the transmission on the drivers side above the oil pan.
Look at picture 7.9 in the haynes manual page 4-7 it shows using a screw driver to remove the retaining clamp to pull the fuel pump. The sending unit is next to the pump.
Go to http://www.ebay.com type in dodge fuel pump and look at a picture of a dakota fuel pump with sending unit.
