My NAPA piece of crap finally stopped working. This is the washer pump and timing unit all in one. I picked up an Anco unit (P/N 61-19) for $59 and installed it. It was different than the NAPA unit and I still don't have the delay option, but it works well and I have the washer working.

The NAPA unit instructions had me cutting the pink/black and red wires and splicing them together. Which explains why my delay is not working. The pink/black one goes to the bottom of the wiper motor, the red one goes up into the top of the wiper motor somewhere.

One of those has to go up into the Anco unit, which gives me a splice connector. Only the directions don't exactly apply since my system is no longer factory stock. Does anyone have access to a schematic telling me which wire (pink/black or red) does the delay?

Thanks, Bob

If nobody here has the schematic, try one, then the other to see which one works. Trial and error.

The lead for the delay should be a blue wire separate from the main 3-wire connector.

The Anco instructions did mention the blue wire, I don't have the instructions in front of me but I have to do something with that, they gave me some splice connector with the kit.

Thursday I'm going to the local library, they have loads of automotive reference books. Don't ever buy a Haynes manual, the schematics don't even come close to the years they're supposed to cover.
