98 Jetta problems

Hey just posting here to see if you guys would know anything on whats wrong with my car atm. Everytime i shut off the it needs to be jumped in order to start again, now i replaced the battery and everything so i kno for sure its not the battery that is the problem. Jw if this has happened to you guys before and if you might now whats wrong. Also my power windows aren't working at the moment and im not sure if its due to the problem with the battery or not. Any info into whats wrong and needs to be fixed before i bring to mechanic would be helpful.

Sounds like you have a bad alternator. Check the wires also. There is a wire that runs from the alternator to the starter and then one from the starter to the battery. These two wires meet at the same point on the starter, right at the top.
