hey there everyone. i've been reading the posts in this forum for a while, and i must say, you are an awesome bunch of people, so i decided to join so i could get to know you and get modelling advice from you. i'm a relative newbie to some of you guys, i've only been modelling for just over a year. so far i've built a Fujimi Nissan S14 and have 3 cars that are about 80% done (Aoshima C-West FD, Fujimi Initial D Nissan S13, Aoshima Toyota Blitz JZX100 Chaser) and i have 3 projects that have yet to be started (Fujimi Nissan 180SX, Fujimi JZA70 Toyota Supra, Fujimi HKS Kansai Altezza). my S14 was my first project, so it's pretty bad. i only used one coat of paint, so i'm planning to fully re-do it. anyways, glad to be amongst such great modellers!:sun: :D

thanks for the warm welcome. and so quickly! hehe i wrote that thing all of 5 minutes ago! anyways, the supra kit is the Touge JZA70 Supra Turbo 3.0. i'll try and find a pic of the box and post it. and i'll make sure i post pics of my crap-tacular S14 once i get my digi-cam working again, although i assure you, it will look like gruel compared to some of the models i've seen on here. just a couple of questions:
1) how do i post pics?
2) how do i post pics in my sig (of the boxes of current projects)
3) what do you guys use to strip paint?
4) what do you use to do panel lines?
thanks for all the help!:p :licker:

whoops, my bad. i forgot to read the FAQ before posting those questions.:bloated: thanks for all the warm welcomes. it's rare coming onto a board and being welcomed by so many. usually you join a board and your first post is ignored completely. it's nice to have a change.

I still have to get Extra Stage and the movie. I recently bought Fujimi AE86 Trueno from ebay. Have you built any one of Fujimi's 1/24 Initial D series kits?
Here's the one I got. This is Tohge series instead of Initial D. I got Initial D Takumi's car that I haven't built yet.

yeah, i have Iketani's S13 K's Initial D kit. i'm not doing it exactly to D specifications though. like i said, i'm doing it Tamiya TS-19 Metallic Blue. i't's about 80% done (body still needs a coat, and some detail painting, and then the decals.) i'll post pics when it's done.http://www.hlj.com/images/fuj/fuj18324box.gif

where did you buy it? i'm not sure if i should buy from HLJ or ebay. initial d kits seem to be overpriced on ebay but HLJ doesn't always stock them.
i'll look forward to your s13 pix.

derek buddy, nice to see you here. welcome to the board (i'm feebily trying to sound like a veteran...).
anyways, takumi, i bought my S13 model from a shop near me, so i can't help you out with the HLJ/eBay debate. i would most definitley say HLJ, cause they are way better with handling etc., but i don't think they have good stock of the S13. it's your choice really.
