Both good cars.

I've just heard that the SRT-4 has more potential, and overall is a little better at handling, accel, etc.

actually the SRT4 has more power. The handling goes to the cobalt, along with the comfort and interior. GM did a really good job on the suspension setup as far as control and comfort goes.

well the cobalts specs says GM are 205HP/200lb-ft but thats underrated as almost every stock cobalt dynos atleast 210WHP. My car dynoed 236WHP and thats 100% stock. Quarter mile you can expect mid 14's at 97-99MPH stock. GM claims 0-60MPH in less than 6 seconds.

Just do yourself a favor and go read some reviews on it. Car and Driver did a good review of it.

You could also wait for the Dodge Caliber SRT4, not gonna lie that car will prolly dominate the cobalt, for maybe a few grand more you get 300HP. But your also driving what looks like a minivan.

i think i would rather go with the cobalt s/c than the caliber cuz i think that thing is ugly ass hell.....yeah it has a lot of horsepower but it does look like a minivan....thanks for the info..
