97 200SX CV Question

Is there some kind of secret to getting the CV joint and RH drive axle out of the tranny? I thought it would just pop out with prying, but am not having much success.

Also, do an automatic and manual (5 spd) have the same RH drive axle?

theres a snap ring on the end of the axle that keeps it in there. pry harder. itll pop out eventually. thats the only trick.

Found another 5-speed in the JY and that one popped right out.
