I got a really sucky christmas present. A blown motor...I have an '01 Corolla S that I bought for about 2500. It had about 81,000 miles when purchased. I only had it for about 2 1/2 months. It appears the oil leaked out and the warning sounds and light came a little too late. Anyway...I have priced repair ranging from 1800 to 2400. BTW, I also made an approx 700 dollar investment when I bought it to replace warn wheel bearings and hubs. That puts the total investment at around 3200 for a car I've had for three months that now has a blown motor. The car was worth about 5 or so prior. What should I do? A)Fix it and sell it shortly after B)Fix it and get a JDM upgrade and sell it shortly after or C)Put the two grand down towards a new car. I am open to any suggestions.

How much is a JDM motor for your car? If you can get a JDM engine installed, will the car be worth the money you put into the engine job to sell or trade to get your money back?
