96 jetta 2.0L ABA engine:
A buddy broke off a stud into the front of the block that holds on the water pump bracket. Everything I tried to get it out with, broke. I finaly got the stud out using a torch and drilling it out. Now the problem is, I took out the intermediate shaft as much as I could to get better heat transfer to the stud.
It looks like something melted out of the hole in the intermediate shaft bearings on the block? Any one know what I melted?:banghead:
