Passenger door lock died

Passenger side door lock no longer works with remote or door mounted switch. All others work as usual.
Anything I should know before I dive into the door ?
Is this a common issue, known fixes?

Seems that the first suspect would be the door lock motor. When you get the door apart, you can check the voltage to the motor when the lock/unlock button is pressed. Also, if the lock motor is open circuit, that will be a hint of a bad motor too.
