Why do you say the wash isnt that good? I thought this engine looked very nice, some of those pieces actually look like metal. Maybe in real life it isnt so good but sure looks pretty to me and nicely done.

I agree: this an 20YO car: i would see just a bit of matt alu dry brushing, may be some white touch, over it. Almost everything in this beast was casted in alu, so pretty light and rough.

Also have a look on MPWR F40, he done some fine tips to correct rear bonnet poor alignment.

I agree, that wash looks great!!! What did you use for it, and how did you apply it?

The only part that I think the was wasn't perfect would be on the big muffler part of the exhaust system. The rest of the wash seem correct to me.

I just think some of the mark looks really obviois and unlealistic~ by favourite place is the exhaust manafold~ i'll try marder for the F50 engin i have planned for this year~ thanks for your support

Thank you~ but this is still me first time, and i got lots of room for improvement, infact, i have jsut learn some new technique that i want to try out from my friend. I have sen that WIP, it's awsome, but too bad i had already done past places that need fixing.....

I think that engine looks fantastic!

Thanks man~

Thanks for your comment~ For the wash, i pretty much painted all the chrome part with industrial chrome paint~ (i really like the result of it) then just using tamiya acrylic paint(black), thin it down to really really really thin~ then brush it on, but put more on edges and places that will attract more wheathering in real life. As this is my first time, i didnt have too much expectation, but the effect is ok i guess.

Hi Mark~ you mean the big round tube at the back right? yeh, i think thats the weakest area too~ i jsut applied the thinned down black paint to it and that how it turned out.

nice work, keep go on. See you again in these forums.

Thank you~ By the way, you are ktlee from HKML right?
