If it has been sitting for 36 years without being run during that time, you will need to break down the engine to see if any electrolysis has siezed up any components, as well as treat the camshaft to some cam break-in lube (assembly lube) before you start it up or it might go tango-uniform on you.

If you've run it periodically during this time, treat the oil with STP, run the engine, and drain it.

after changing all the fluids and cams all that good stuff, you should check the electrical system to make shure all things are in order, Check your brakes, Tires for dry rott, shocks, and tranny other than that your good.:grinyes:

One more thing, do not auction it off thats the last thing you want to do because i have been looking for one and they are hard to come by of that year model.

Post some pictures of it and include the engine bay, interior, tires, front and rear end, shocks, etc and you'll get more feedback on what should be done to preserve the vehicle.
