someone has finally done it, they made a mod for Half Life 2 engine that makes a game that feels incredibly like the orignal 007 Bond for Nintendo 64. Ive been playing the crap outa this game lately. Its like bond but with the game engine of HL2.
You can check it out here at www.goldeneyesource.com (www.goldeneysource.com)
In order to play the game you need a program called Steam, this is used to distribute games like HL2 CSS and so fourth.
Download and install steam from www.steampowered.com.
Install Goldeneysource, and then install something called Source SDK if you dont have Half Life 2 or Counter Strike Source. The source SDK install can be found under the tooks tab of the steam menu.
Right now the game is in beta testing and 100% free to play. If you loved Goldeney for the N64, you will love this game as well

Meh, the only reason Goldeneye was so popular because it was the first big multiplayer FPS. I'd rather play a modern FPS with a nonglitchy control scheme and interesting levels.

+1, loved it back in middle school, still play once in a while, but i'll stick to things like Halo.

i used to think that too, but playing it, damn its still alot of fun. I forgot how hard it was to play when you didnt have a crosshair telling you exactly where to shoot. Most FPS are pretty easy now and days, this one actually takes some skill.

Frustration and challenge are two very different things.
