VATS wehicle security fix

I just wanted to post a fix i had on my 2000 chevy 3500 with a security light no start. When trying to start the truck, it would start every time for a second and then die. My fuel pressure was around 64psi but when i would crank it would start, then pressure would drop to say 58psi and then it would die. I thought the fuel pump was dying because i know i need around 60 psi to open injector poppets. Since it was dropping to 58psi i changed the fuel pump. It still didn't work. It worked exactly the same, ran for a second then died. I did notice my security light on so i put my old fuel pump back in, disconnected my battery, reconnected my battery after ten miniutes and the security light was no longer blinking and it started. YEAH!! I was just about to put a resistor in the ignition to fake out the module but i found for my fix all was needed was to reset the computer. This problem will probably come back but i will have my battery wrench with me. If it really creates a problem i will then bypass the VATS. but for all with the security light on and no start due to it, try disconnecting the battery, it worked for me.
