Brake Light On

On my 2003 Sequoia the brake light has been coming on for a while intermittently. The dealer just added brake fluid and the light went out only to come back on again later. Now that the warranty has expired they're saying it's the anti-skid computer to the tune of $3000. They've offered to change it out for a lower price. Has anyone run across this before? Am I being ripped off? Thanks for any replies.

Go to a different shop and get a second opinion.

I had posted this for a friend. He needed his car and decided to pay them $800.

The anti-skid computer whatever that is. We'll see after it's changed out whether the problem reoccurs.

Try to change de bulb, I got the same problem with a honda every time I pres de brake pedal the light shop up and what I did was change the bulb and problem fiexed
