how many miles does it have on it? when was the last time you did a tune up (or when did you buy it if you haven't)? What kind of intake is it; short ram or cold air? How high do you rev it? Did this just occur out of the blue?

its cold air intake, got the car about mounth ago. havent done a tune up yet cause the oil looks good. intake is high flow air ram filter with a cold air pipe. i keep it below 4000 rpm. i have no idea what it could be:banghead:

so you got the car a month ago, but has it had this poor performance for the whole month? If the CAI was already on the car when you got it then check the filter and see if its clogged.
150 miles per tank is a pretty drastic drop in fuel economy, it seems that there should be other symptoms in play. No noticeable smells or puddles? 22in rims perhaps :grinno:

first you should definently try doing a tune up, it probably needs it anyways. Spark plus, maybe wires, fuel filter, maybe try some injector cleaner, if you're comfortable with it try a valve adjustment.

Is your car idling high?? Possilby staying in open loop rather than ever really warming up and idling down....Shit this is kind of stumping me right now.....its too early

the cai i installed, i got 16in rims, the only thing that smelled when i got it was the water pump was leaking and it went about 3/4 the way up on the heat gauge so the only smell was it over heating alittle. but now no smells or puttles. my car idles high when its cold but when it heats up it drops to about 700rpm. i just changed the oil and that seemed to bring it up alittle, im doing a full tune up this weekend i'll post what happends after that. thanks for all your imput if you guys have any more ideas i very open to suggestions

im doing spark plugs right now, im going to do one thing at a time when im tuneing it up to isolate the main problem why my gas milage is so bad. but i dont think thats the prob. it has good hp and it gets up to speed real quick.

i just got done doing my plugs and they were gaped alittle past .80. i gaped them at .42 and it seems to have more power. is .42 the right gap for a 94 civic? i could not find any thing on the car or in the hayens manual the told me the right gap.

you should get about 29mpg city and your tank should hold about 12 gallons so that works out to roughly348 miles to a tank. At worst, I'd say you should get 280 miles per tank

Check your thermostat, it may not be allowing your engine to reach it's optimal operating temperature, thus your engine will not function and or perform to it's true potential effecting your gas mileage.
