Truck won't start, traced problem to fuel pump, further inspection shows no voltage to the fuel pump, put new fuel pump relay on and that did nothing, what else could be wrong and where can it be found/what needs to be done? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to AF. Fuse good, can you power the pump from the jumper connector near the relay panel?

Rusted out ground wire that connects from the top of the tank to the frame, or broken ground wire at tank.

Fuse is good, replaced and re-grounded the ground wire on top of tank, where is the jumper connector near the fuel pump relay panel/what does it look like?

When I have electrical problems & there is any doubt of ground,I run a wire to the battery ground terminal, then I know that a failure to find power in a given situation is because there IS no power there.

what size engine do you have? that I know on the 454 models when you have a bad oil pressure sensor or oil sending unit it will have a short and will effect the fuel pump it will cut the power or will leave it on, it sounds dumm but my friend just had the same problem and I couldn't believed know I'm not sure if it's the same for the others

I've seen a rash of worn out ignition switches in recent months, check the schematics for the power wire to the pump at the column. The last one I did was a '91 1500. It would run the fuel pump, but only when the engine was cranking or running, it wouldn't give it that 2-3 seconds primer charge.
