Hello. I went to the hobbystore to get some transparent orange and red, but it turned out that they didnt have any transparent red left. :banghead:
Is it possible to convert rattle can red paint to transparent brush colour? And also, can you tint it to get tinted taillights?

I assume you are using the red paint to paint the tail-lights on your model? If so, I think you would be better off with the transparent red and not regular red paint from a spraycan which is not transparent so you will not get the desired effect on your tail-lights,as it is not see-through.To tint/smoke the lights you can use Tamiya X-19 Smoke which is basically a clear/see through smoke colour. You can build it up layer by layer until the desired effect is achieved.More coats makes it darker, less coats it will be lighter.

you also can use fingernail polish .. most all of the time it is clear ... or take just a drop or two of a normal red and mix it with some clear paint to tint it .. and make your own red ...
or look for a paint that says it has a 'candy' finish ... typically those are just tinted clearcoats...
