Cluth Problem 93 Ranger

Ok I have a 93 Ranger 4cyl standard. The problem I am having is it will not go into gear easily. Over the past month I have replaced the master cylinder, slave cylinder, the clutch, and pilot bearing. It seems to be bled good. The clutch pedal feels normal, like it has enough pressure. If you look you can see the release bearing pushing in on the fingers a great deal. I can get it to go into gear, but not very easily, but if I start the truck in gear with the clutch pedal depressed, the engine is disengaged and you can feel the clutch grabbing as I let out on the clutch. It just wont shift into gear from neutral or from 1st to 2nd, etc. Also, it was shifting fine before I put the driveshaft back on ( but I'm assuming this was because there was no resistance). Are there any adjustments? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i would check the slave cylinder again for bubbles. i hear it is a pain to properly bleed the clutch on a ranger transmission. that most rarely get it right the first time. at least from what i have seen on the forums.

i know this seems simple and stupid but check to be sure your floor mat isnt in the way of the clutch being depressed the whole way.

Hi,There is a ford TSB on your problem, The way the vehicle was engineerd, the master cylinder traps air when you try to bleed it, The tsb entails removal of the master cylinder and fluid line to the slave cylinder and bleeding it on the bench secured in a vise, With the master cylinder vertical, so no air is trapped, Good Luck, Clay..
