Code P0748 Jetta 99

I just installed a used trans in my 99 Jetta and I have 2 codes that come up with a check engine light. The first is P0748 a pressure control solenoid problem. Where is this solenoid and what are some solutions? The second code is P0705 a Trans sensor range problem. Any solutions on this code? My speedometer also does not work and I did not see any loose connections. It did work with the original tranny. Also in drive it does not shift into the next gear by itself. Is this being caused by the P0748 pressure control solenoid code? The display on the dash that shows what gear you are in (P R N D 3 2 1 ) is all lite up and does not tell you what gear you are in. When I do reset the check engine light the display is ok until the check engine light comes back on. I assume this is normal ?My jetta is a 1999 with 114,000 miles, automatic transmission. Thanks for any help.
