Built this one in September for review in the Feb. '07 Scale Auto magazine, which is now out. So now I can show it off
Built completely OOB, used Cobra Colors DC "Satin Jade" color intended for the Chrysler 300C. Looks pretty sharp on the SLR :sunglasse
This one took some serious time to finish; about 25 hours simply to make it OOB and figure out how to make all those panels fit together as perfectly as possible. This kit has seen a lot of criticism; yet I really enjoyed building it and think it's very nicely engineered. The parts that they didn't do would be hard to see anyway. With a few aftermarket goodies it would be magnificent.
Careful assembly, lots of pre-fitting, and patience make the finished product satisfying.

Curbside refers to when the hood and doors don't open and there is no engine detail.

I thought curbside was just no engine detail.

Beautiful work as usual Bob! Perfect color for an elegant machine such as this.
I enjoyed your review in SA as well. Direct, and to the point. NO fanfare just as it should be.
Thanks!

What an amazing build. Looking at the first picture, you would never think the hood and doors open with the perfect panel lines. I'm amazed at the level of skill in assembly and finish. I feel for the most part it takes more skill to make an OOB build at this level then when going the detailing path.
