Alright so I boneheaded one 2 o'clock in the morning and didn't tighten my gas cap enough, triggering the check engine light, I checked the engine, it was still there, and I am positive all is well.
What I am looking for is a quick fix to clear the string in my computer (err, reset it I guess)thats telling me something is wrong, and remove that damn light so I actually know when my engine is unhappy.

just unplug the battery for about 30 secs replug it in, and light should be off.
