well i did a motor swap on my 97 blazer, and i wanted to give her a new style with the new motor. i was looking at deckin the blazer out. i also wanted to do some weight reduction. i blew up my old motor by offroading, and sinking. i figured i could prevent that again by removing the 4wd system, turning it into a 2wd blazer. i just wanted to remove the front components, keeping it simple. anyone ever done this, or knows whats involved, and am i gonna have any tranny or computer problems with this job

you want to Remove 4wd??? thats just crazy talk
i hope you dont plan on off roading after removing the 4wd and loosing weight you will get stuck easier if your lighter. (in sand and mud)
i dont believe the 4wd really adds too much weight to the truck anyway (maybe around 150-200lbs)

4wd adds apx 300-400lbs. converting it to 2wd would not be very easy...or practical. you would have to remove the front axle and convert the front to spindles and springs, remove the torsion bars, remove the transfer case and put in a different drive shaft, and a bunch of other stuff. it would probably be cheaper for you in the long run to sell your truck and buy a 2wd.
