had this car to emissions, they plug right into the computer and read the codes. said it failed, codes 0442--leak detected in EVAP system, that I understand.
The next one was 0440- which says just "evap system" What exactly is that supposed to mean?

Leaks in the evap system, leads anywhere from a loose /bad gas cap to broken evap hoses to a bad solenoid.
