91 Trooper Heater

This is my first Isuzu


i am trying to figure out a problem .. my heater switch is stuck to cold.. it feels like a cable fell off or is stuck?? i was wondering how i would get to it on the backside... and can it get caught somewhere in the engine compartment??

the cables go to a box right under the dash. if you looked you would see that its right behind the radio
