Strange

my 93' vic runs and drives great, but when i give it throttle i hear somewhat of a tick or click, i have duals so you can hardly hear it but its there. almost sounds like spark knock? i use 89 octane. it only makes the sound during acceleration. i might just be paranoid but strange sounds concern me. the thing only has 35,000 miles. any ideas?

Try a tank of high test and see if it goes away. You could try using some seafoam and clean the intake. Also check the base timing.

mine does that when the MAF is dirty. I have to clean it once a year or i get clatter at wide open throttle. Ive noticed they also do that when the oil is getting old.

Does the check engine light come on?

on a '93 it is probably a clogged egr.
