Escort XR3i replica

Hello! I own an Escort XR3i '84, and I always wanted a small scale model of it. So, I finally got my hands on a Matchbox-Revell Escort XR3 '81. As it is just an XR3 and not an XR3i, I'll have to modify some things. (i = injection)

It's actually a pretty good kit. It has a very good engine detail and realistic undercarriage, I don't think it's possible to get this kit anymore except if you find someone that bought it new and never built it.

Got an update, sorry for bad pics. I painted and weathered the engine and chassis, base painted the body and converted it to an XR3i instead of standard XR3. I scratched an intake system/injection out of styrene sheet, sprue and drinking straw.

Looks like great work so far....My first car was an XR3....Looking forward to seeing more of this
