Taking apart G6 door

Hey

So I just got a brand new G6, and my kid ended up puking all over the backseat on the passenger side. Currently I'm trying to figure out how I can take apart the door to get at the cracks of the molding.

I've looked at the door and there are two "pops" at the back edge and what looks to be a screw spot right behind the inside door handle. I'm wondering if thats all thats holding on the door, or if there is something more that I can't see. I'm not much of an automotive guy, so I don't know all the tricks there are to cars.

Also, I'm trying to take off the plastic side cover of the front passenger seat. I've found the two screws that hold it on, but I have no clue how to take off the lever that allows the seat to lean back. As long as that baby is still on there, I have no chance of getting the rest off.

Thank you for any advice you can give me.

I think there is a clip around shaft that retains the front seat recliner handle on sedan.

The rear door handle has a trim cover that has to be removed to see a few screws under it.

When you say a clip, do you mean something that i'll have to squeeze from both sides? Kind of like a quick clamp for a pipe?

I think it is a c-shaped clip which fits over shaft that handle is pressed onto. I haven't taken apart one myself so don't have any practical experience with how to remove it.

You need a door handle tool to do it easy. But you can pop it off with a screw driver and some patience. My advice would be take it to a glass shop and have them disassemble it before you damage a bunch of trim and then end up having it cost you more. Maybe they will show you so the next time there is a barfing event you can do it yourself.
