Does boost stay constant till redline?

I was under the impression that it does, but then again I don't know the range of the T25 turbo. I've noticed that it starts to spool around 2300 RPM's or so, and thought it stayed till redline .

After installing my aftermarket boost gauge today, I noticed I will run a consistant 13 pounds of boost till around 5500-6000 RPM's where it creeps back towards 10 pounds or so. If it's not supposed to do that (which is my guess) then I've got it pin pointed to my BOV which I found leaks a bit (big suprise). If it is supposed to do that...well...foohy. :p

The t2small simply runs out of "uumph" (sp?) as you approach redline. It will never hold full boost all the way through the range, it's just not big enough.

Well if it's creeping down than it's probably just because the stock wastegate is a piece of shit.

t25 holds boost untill about 5500 rpm, it plumits with the VE curve. Nothing you can do about it.

Mine does the exact same 15 psi max then down to 10 psi. 3rd gear it creeps to 17 and i hit fuel cut at 4500 but im sure if it kept goin itd be down to 10 psi by redline

engine is using more air than the turbo can provide

I see. Well thats good to know I guess. No point running till redline if I'm going to lose boost 1000-1500RPM's before I hit it.

Even on my car with a 16g I can only hold 21psi untill 5000 then it drops off to 16

yep, a 16g on a 2.4 is like a T25 on a 2.0

now go get a 50 trim ;)

the compressor housing looks like a gimick to me, besides the slots which have already been in use

my T-25 use to spike to 23psi ;) and drop off to about 16psi. How do you think i was running 13's on a T-25, boost the shit out of the t-25 lol

I burned up 3 t-25's but it was worth it running 13.73 with only $600 at that time in my car, and most of that cost was the exhaust. Turbos were free so i did not care lol.

13.7 run with a t-25 and stock clutch at a 5500 rpm launch.

One thing i might add also i had about 30 runs with my stock clutch and alot on the street and never burned up my clutch completely.

i have a 16g and i hit peak at 26 lbs and then it will level at 24. well atleast until i hit fuel cut out. then it drops fast. but i can run 19 lbs constant with no drop and i hit max boost at 3300-3400 rpms. my brothers t25 will hit max boost at 21lbs and level out around 14 or 15 lbs. that with a few mots, exhaust, big intake pipe, and upper intercooler pipe. crushed 1g bov. so you can milk a little more power out of that turbo then 10 lbs.
