With this tutorial I will show you how to make vertical (Lamborghini) style doors.
First find an Image to start out with. I'm going with this 2006 Impala.
http://img409.imageshack.us/img409/1333/doorsuw9.png (http://imageshack.us)
Next you go around the outside of the door like I have done below.
http://img409.imageshack.us/img409/1371/doors1dm1.png (http://imageshack.us)
Now press Ctrl+C to copy it and open a new page then press Ctrl+V to paste it there.
http://img164.imageshack.us/img164/2175/doors2tr3.png (http://imageshack.us)
Now to find an interior Image to put on the car so when you move the doors it won't look empty. I got this off another Impala.
http://img164.imageshack.us/img164/3712/doors3ne2.png (http://imageshack.us)
Notice how it doesn't go all the way to the end of the door and thats fine we'll fix that later. To move the interior press Ctrl+T and you can move and resize the image as you please untill your happy with the outcome.
http://img164.imageshack.us/img164/6332/doors4kf7.png (http://imageshack.us)
Now to flatten the image right click on the left of the little image like I did and click flatten this will merge all of your pages together.
http://img164.imageshack.us/img164/1618/doors5ai6.png (http://imageshack.us)
Now go around the second door you had pasted before and click Ctrl+C like so.
http://img164.imageshack.us/img164/2546/doors6ir4.png (http://imageshack.us)
Now click on the image with the car and press Ctrl+V to paste it on there
http://img409.imageshack.us/img409/1504/doors7tb3.png (http://imageshack.us)
Now close the image with the door if it asks you if you want to save click no.
http://img164.imageshack.us/img164/2048/doors8xt0.png (http://imageshack.us)
Now go back to the Image with the car and press Ctrl+T and then right click on the Image of the door and click rotate.
http://img164.imageshack.us/img164/5490/doors9fq2.png (http://imageshack.us)
Now just rotate the image of the doors and move them into place untill you think there in a good position or untill you think they look right like so.
http://img164.imageshack.us/img164/1324/doors10tl0.png (http://imageshack.us)
Once more go to the image on the bottom right right click next to it and click flatten like so.
http://img164.imageshack.us/img164/3726/doors11df4.png (http://imageshack.us)
After you do that you should be left with this.

Looks good, except I noticed the proportion for the interior is off by quite a bit, I'd recommend that you look for an interior picture at a close angle to your original picture. Other than that it look good though.

if you're just starting with photoshop, and you're past your 30 days you could go for the "light version" called photoshop elements.
It has all the basic features, should be enough for starters @ 1/2 the price
Now press Ctrl+C to copy it and open a new page then press Ctrl+V to paste it there.
If you don't mind me throwin in my 2 bits....
Now press Ctrl+C to copy and then Ctrl+D to deselect, Ctrl+V will paste your door in the same document but Photoshop will create a new layer above the one your workin in. No need to have 2 windows open at the same time.
If you dont want to see the door while your working on the interior, just hit the litlle eye icon on your layer box and it is gone (not really but invisible :naughty: )
Keep it up, I appreciate someone putting time in a tutorial
Happy new year
